Trombone

She studied trombone at the “N. Paganini” Conservatory in Genoa, under the guidance of M° Piero Andreoli and graduated at a very young age. In 2008 she specialized in Renaissance Trombone and at the same time she studied at Fiesole Music School.

She attended several masterclasses and courses held by famous trombonists, such as Gianluca Scipioni, Joseph Alessi, Nitzan Haroz, Toby Oft, Ian Bousfield, Michael Becquet, Daniel Lassalle, Jean-Pierre Mathieu, Corrado Colliard, Vincent Lepape, Daniele Morandini, Andrea Conti, Fabiano Fiorenzani, Gabriele Malloggi, Giuseppe Grandi, Athos Castellan and Giuseppe Mendola.

She also graduated at Schola Cantorum Basiliensis under the guidance of M° Charles Toet.

She is the creator (in 2006) and manager of the Wacky Brass Quintet. As trombonist of the Wacky Brass Quintet she has made more than one hundred concerts.

They attended several masterclasses held by Gomalan Brass Quintet, Pentabrass Quintet and M° Ronald Romm of the Canadian Brass.

The Wacky Brass Quintet was the runner up at the “Young Performers International Competition” of Chieri (TO), qualified with merit at the 2008 TIM, International Music Tournament, in Florence, was selected for the “International Jan Koetsier Competition for Brass Chamber Music” in Munich, was one of the finalists in the “Maggio Off Music Contest 2008”, held by the “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino” Theatre, in 2009 was the runner up at the “Nuovi Orizzonti” Chamber Music Conpetition of Arezzo and won the Corallino first prize at the “International Chamber Music Competition” of Cervo (IM). In 2013 the WBQ was runner up at the International Competition for Soloists and Chamber Music Groups – Svirel in Stanjel (Slovenja).

She played for many orchestras and chamber ensambles, such as the “Orchestre Symphonique du Jura” in Switzerland , “La Follia” Orchestra of Strasbourg, the “Carlo Felice” Theatre of Genoa, the Lirical Theatre of Cagliari, the “Maggio Musicale Fiorentino”, the “Haydn Orchester von Bozen und Trient”, the “Orchestra Verdi” of Milan, the Symphonic Orchestra of Savona, The Orchestra of the “Teatro Sociale” of Rovigo, the “Novecento” Philarmonic of the “Teatro Regio” of Torino, the “G. Frescobaldi” Orchestra, the “Camerata Strumentale” of Florence, the “Camerata Strumentale” of Prato, The “Region of Liguria Orchestra”, the Genoa Chamber Orchestra, the “I musici di Parma”, the “Concento Ecclesiastico”, the “Paganini” Philharmonic Orchestra, the “Banda Osiris”, the “Teatro dell’Archivolto”, the “Centro Teatro Ipotesi”, the “Teatro della Tosse”, the “Tigullio Big Band”, the “Conte Big Band”, the “Felice Reggio Big Band”, the “Nine Pennies”, the “Paganini” Brass Band and many others.

She taught in the brass class of the music schools of “Genova Bolzaneto” Band, “Genova Cornigliano” Philarmonic Society, “San Fruttuoso” Philarmonic Society, “Mancini Musical Centre” in Genoa and Musical Institute “Baravalle” of Fossano in the Trofarello (TO) branch.

She cooperated with M° Gianluca Scipioni in the writing of his brass method “La Magia degli Ottoni, un Approccio Facile al Suonare” (The Magic of Brass, an Easy Approach to Play), Accademia 2008 Press.
