The association

In 2010 the WBQ incorporated itself as an association bearing its own name: the WBQ Cultural Association. Having done so has allowed the WBQ to fit its own activities into a larger spectrum of cultural projects and initiatives, as well as collaborate with other institutional and associative entities.

The aims of the WBQ Cultural Association are as follows:

  • To spread, popularize, and underline the importance of music, and musical culture, and more generally the figurative and dramatic arts – both as a means of social growth, as well as a way of promoting the fundamental values of liberty and equality among different peoples and social strata;
  • Emphasize the importance of the idea of the musician in his capacity as a professional in the realm of culture, paying particular attention both to young people, as active participants in cultural initiatives, as well as to people, in general, of differing levels of ability;
  • Map out a network of local spaces and structures suited to the promotion of concerts, events and musical gatherings, as well as working in collaboration with like-minded organizations and thereby helping not only to create a place of prominence for music, and culture in general, but also to promote places of particular interest: historical, artistic, or otherwise (beauty of site, etc.);
  • Promote and organize concerts and musical assemblies, music education courses, exhibitions, meetings, seminars, conferences, courses of continuing education/ professional formation, audio-visual productions, advise instrumental and/or vocal groups (both ad-hoc and stable), contribute to staged theatrical and musical productions, help projects aimed towards the practice and teaching of musical therapy, and in general, contribute to any of the aspects which might be said to pertain to the aims of such organizations — be it by way of contacts, or collaborations, with publicly funded organisms whose mission it is to be an actor in the realm of culture;
  • Provide, by way of its own members, or by way of outside consultants, artistic and technical advice;
  • Promote and incite research, in addition to maintaining an active role in the fields of arts-teaching and music;
  • Acquire, manage, and produce means of information and communication aimed at the community at large;
  • Acquisire, gestire e produrre mezzi di informazione e comunicazione rivolti alla collettività.
  • Organize, produce, and manage events and productions of an educational nature for young children, as well as for adolescents.
